BEST FABRICS FOR CUSTOM APPAREL PRINTING

COTTON
Cotton is a natural, breathable fiber known for its softness and comfort. It works well with most printing techniques, especially screen printing and DTG, but is unsuitable for sublimation. Cotton shrinks when washed, wrinkles easily, and is less durable than synthetics.

POLYESTER
Polyester is a durable, wrinkle-resistant synthetic fabric with moisture-wicking properties, making it ideal for sportswear. It is best for sublimation printing but does not work well with screen printing or DTG. Unlike cotton, it holds its shape and does not shrink.

FABRIC BLENDS
Blended fabrics combine different material properties for better durability, comfort, or printability. A cotton-polyester blend balances cotton's softness with polyester's strength and wrinkle resistance but is harder to print on than pure cotton.

RAYON
Rayon is a semi-synthetic fabric that mimics silk, cotton, or wool. It is soft, smooth, and drapes well but is less durable and stretches out over time. Printing results vary depending on the rayon type, and it requires gentle care.
